In the year of 1990 when Davis Weathersby completed his coaching and teaching career, he contacted former Alcorn State University athletes with the idea of organizing the Alcorn State University Letterman Club and the name would be the A-Club.
The purpose of the A-Club is to promote the welfare of athletics at the University.
